As we walk, understand that thhhh . . . this is how I talk.
The pain, the str . . . strrrrr . . . struggle, I used to think it
was my fault.

I . . . I used to think I was the only one. I used ttttttt . . . to

I sssssspent mmmmmmmy whole life tr . . . trying to live
around it, mmmmute myself and change what I would
say or do because of my ssssss . . . stutter, like a t.v.

I use to be t . . . . . . terrified to get ca . . . called on it class.
I still get nervous wwwwwhen I have to introduce myself
in front of everyone.

Rrrrrrrr . . . relax, they say! Slow down when you talk,
they say! If it was that easy don’t you think I would stop!

I try so hard every day not to stutter once, when in reality
I need to embrace it. Wwwwhich is what I’m doing now.

Ma . . . my name is Von. I can sing, I can dance, and I can
draw. I also have a stutter.
